This weekend saw the Badminton Wales Board, Operational Team and key stakeholders of Badminton in Wales meet for our annual team and board workshop.
We discussed the key targets for the year and reviewed the previous 12 months to see where improvements can be made to better support the growth of the sport in Wales.

Welsh Senior National Championships 2024!
Date: 3rd & 4th Feb 2024
Location: Bryn Estyn Badminton Centre, Deganwy.
Time: 9:00am Start
We look forward to welcoming all participants to the Senior National Championships this year in North Wales. Even if you are not participating you are welcome to come along to watch & support. Keep an eye out on Sportity for updates regarding the Draw.

Junior Series
The first tournament of the year took place in Caerphilly on the 13th of January. With over 40 entries and some new faces with athletes travelling from all over Wales but also England and Jersey. It was a fantastic day and could not have happened without Simon Pill and Luke Bailey.
With this being the first Junior tournament of the year it is also time to announce the soon to be released Welsh Junior Rankings which will be released after every junior series event (including the junior nationals).
Deganwy Juniors Rescheduled
The North Wales Junior Series has be rescheduled for March the 23rd and 24th

Badminton Wales is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults and in turn is committed to achieving the safeguarding standards set by Sport Wales and the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit.

CYLLID | FUNDING
The Be Active Wales Fund closes for this financial year on 31st Jan 2024, applications after this date will be processed in April.
Badminton Wales clubs have already successfully used these to buy 12 months of shuttles, coaching course places and court fees for new projects. Please see the Sport Wales Be Active Fund website for more details.
