Badminton Wales is the National Governing Body for Wales, formed in 1928 and has a rich heritage being one of only eight founding members of World Badminton, centenary in 2028. However, despite being proud of our history we are not an organisation that dwells on the past.
Badminton Wales Community consists of the Board of Directors, Sub Committees, Operational Team and network of competitive clubs, social clubs, coaches, volunteers and members throughout the country, responsible for all aspects of the sport, from grassroots participation to performance.
As a national governing body of sport, it is important that Badminton Wales has a diverse staffing structure that brings together a range of skills, knowledge and experience.

The Business Development Executive is an exciting new role within Badminton Wales, playing a key part in driving commercial growth, developing partnership opportunities, and maintaining strong external relationships that support the organisation’s strategy and objectives.
The role combines new business development, strategic partnership thinking and day to day relationship management.
Lead the development and delivery of partnership and sponsorship opportunities for Badminton Wales, from prospecting and outreach through to negotiation, contracting, activation, and long term growth.
Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to shape compelling partnerships that align with the organisation’s vision, digital priorities, and growth objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with businesses, community partners, organisations, and key stakeholders to position Badminton Wales at the forefront of commercial opportunity.
The Business Development Executive will help identify, build and manage meaningful partnerships that support the objectives of the post and the wider organisation.
This role will act as a visible ambassador for the organisation and its values.
Act as a Badminton Wales ambassador, promoting the organisation’s reputation, values, and strategic goals.
These competencies describe how the successful candidate will work with colleagues, partners and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be organised, commercially aware and confident working with different people and teams.

Opportunities to volunteer with Badminton Wales are always coming up. Our volunteers are an integral part of our team and play a vital role in making badminton possible across Wales. From line judges and ambassadors to tournament helpers and media assistants — our volunteers are the lifeblood of our events and activities.
With the Welsh International Challenge just around the corner, we are particularly keen to hear from individuals who would like to be involved in one of the highlight events in the badminton calendar.
