24/25 Selection Criteria

Selections will be carried out using the selection criteria below.

1. Adherence to code of conduct principles
   1. Shown good sportsmanship and attitude both on and off court whilst adhering to code of conduct.
2. Rankings
   1. Combines results and commitment into a metric.
3. Commitment
   1. How many BW sanctioned tournaments has the individual competed in and has the player travelled.
4. Results
   1. How well the individual has performed at the BW sanctioned tournaments they have entered irrespective of the number of tournaments played.

Each criteria have a different level of priority with Criteria 1 being first. Rankings will be used to help shortlist players, whilst the Results and Commitment will act as deciding factors.

*Underlying all of these are the topics of Extenuating Circumstances and Equal Opportunity. Individuals who have for good reason not met Criteria 1-3 will still be taken into consideration as if they had.

In Addition to the selection criteria to be considered above, the selection committee are empowered to make appropriate judgements based on additional evidence and experience that may affect the order of merit suggested by the previous criteria.
