I’m a dedicated and passionate badminton coach, committed to fostering skill development and sportsmanship in players of all ages and abilities. I currently coach a wide variety of sessions across North East Wales and Cheshire. I am working with players playing at Junior County and National level, along side GCSE students looking to gain those extra marks. Whether you’re new to the sport and looking to learn the basics, an intermediate or advanced player trying to push for the next level, I’m here to help. I am a former Welsh Graded badminton player, achieving a silver medal at the international graded series; and now a dedicated full-time coach, passionate about developing players of all ages and abilities. With extensive experience coaching juniors, adults, and individuals with additional needs, I focus on fostering a positive and inclusive training environment. My sessions aim to enhance technical skills, tactical awareness, and overall enjoyment of the sport, ensuring that every player reaches their full potential.

I’m Josh a BWF Level 2 professional badminton coach, with international coaching experience, living in North Wales.

I aim to bring a blend of passion and expertise to the court, empowering players to believe in their potential and achieve greatness both on and off the court.

My goal is to help make North Wales the best region for Badminton across the UK, throughout all aspects of the game from grassroot community engagement, inclusivity and both junior and senior performance.

It is my ambition to promote the sport of badminton across the UK and to train players to compete in high level tournaments.

My background as a Top 80 in the World in Men’s Singles player and with over 15 years of coaching experience I’m eager to teach and mentor students to enhance their badminton technical and tactical skills, physical ability and mentality through intensive training methods.

Having worked with an extensive range of players from beginners to international level athletes I’m confident you will flourish in achieving your goals. As a full time professional coach, I’m currently working with BW Performance Players, Newport Badminton Academy athletes and Bristol University players.

I am an experienced Level 2 Badminton coach with a BSc Sports Coaching Degree and a Primary School teacher with P.E Specialism. This gives me a background to create inclusive training tailored to accommodate all players. In addition to my teaching role, over the last decade, I have coached both junior and senior players one-to-one, providing tailored development programmes for players to reach their potential – including coaching them at international events. During my coaching career, I have lead sessions for all levels ability at regional and county level where I have held titles up to and including head county coach and I am currently the Badminton Wales Under 15 Quad Coach and Manager.

I have represented Wales on many occasions at graded/national events achieving Gold medals in both the team and individual events. Individually I have won a silver medal at the Welsh Nationals in Ladies Doubles and I have held numerous titles across all three disciplines in tournaments across the UK which allows me to bring a wealth of experience to my coaching.

My coaching focus is to bring out the best in all players though engaging tailored sessions that promote development, fun and teamwork. I am passionate about working within sport and developing the love of Badminton across Wales.
