Badminton Wales Senior Nationals Finals.

The weekend saw players from all over the country travel to Cardiff to compete in the Senior National Championships at the Sport Wales National Centre.

Up first was the mixed doubles final which was won by Saffron Morris and Andy Oates who picked up the win over Devi Permatasari and Will Kitching 21-17, 15-21, 21-13.

In the Men’s singles event, Dan Font took the win over Archie Bult 21-14, 21-7.

Up next was the Women’s singles final where number 1 seed Jordan Hart took on number 2 seed Saffron Morris. It was Jordan that took the win 21-13, 21-18.

The Men’s doubles followed next where Victor Pang and Osmond
Chong fought hard against Will Kitching and Dan Font with Will and Dan taking the win 21-15, 21-5.

The last match of a very entertaining weekend of great badminton was the Women’s doubles final.

Saffron Morris in her third final of the day partnered Wendy Chen to take on Aimie Whiteman and Devi Permatasari. Aimie and Devi confirming their position as top seeds winning 21-10, 21-6 to leave as 2023 Senior National Champions.
